Lumano / Material
Sterling silver
Every Lumano piece is forged in Poland from 925 sterling silver — a precious metal chosen for its weight, warmth and the way it records time on the skin.
What 925 means
- 925 sterling silver is 92.5% pure silver, alloyed for strength and everyday wear.
- The remaining 7.5% gives each piece structure without compromising the feel of solid metal.
- All Lumano rings, pendants and chains are made from this grade unless stated otherwise on the product page.
How we work it
Pieces are formed by hand in small batches. We leave room for texture, weight and subtle irregularity — the marks of a maker rather than a mould.
Surfaces may be brushed, hammered or left raw depending on the form. The goal is always the same: silver that feels considered in the hand and calm on the body.
Wear & patina
- Sterling silver naturally darkens with air, skin chemistry and use. This is part of the material, not a flaw.
- Light tarnish can be removed with a soft polishing cloth. Avoid harsh dips on textured or oxidised finishes.
- Store pieces dry, away from humidity and direct contact with other metal jewellery.
Made in Poland
Lumano is forged in Poland, where hand-worked metal and a restrained making culture inform every collection. The material language draws from elemental landscape and Scandinavian restraint — objects intended to be worn often and marked by time.
Assay & quality
Our silver meets recognised assay standards. The certificate below confirms the 925 sterling grade used across the collection.
